Ben Edward Prewitt was born September 11, 1955 to the late Eddie Lee and Flora Glass Prewitt. Ben departed this life on May 1, 2023. Ben attended Hardeman County Schools graduating from Middleton High School. Ben confessed Lord as his Savior at a young age and was baptized at St. Paul-Skipper Spring MB Church. 

His commital service was held on Sunday May 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul Skipper Spring Church cemetery with Pastor Alge Terry in charge.  Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Edmond Prewitt and one grandson, Jacob Moore.

Ben leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter; Latasha Prewitt: five grandchildren; Jazmine, Raven, Tiana, Victor, and Ruby Ann Prewitt: one great grandson; Cameron Brooks, Jr.: four brothers; Arthur Lee Prewitt (Tonia) of Grand Junction, TN, Jimmy Lee Prewitt of Bolivar, TN, Zemelist Prewitt (Connie) of Grand Junction, TN, and Horace Prewitt of Decatur GA: four sisters; Laveria Taylor of Bolivar, TN, Mozell Fields of Milwaukee, WI, Florene Taylor (Jimmy) of Bolivar, TN, and Eddie Bell Prewitt of Memphis, TN: two special friends; Earnest “Bo” Hill and Timothy “Terry” Hill and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
