Betty Jo Newborn was born September 15, 1949 to the late Margaret Roberta and Joe Newborn.

Betty was the youngest of 6 children.

She attended Bolivar schools and graduated from Bolivar Industrial High School, class of 1967.

Betty professed a hope in Christ at a very early age at Campbell Chapel M.B. Church.    

Betty lived her life for her family. Betty kept the family going and Betty kept the family going. She worked at Harman Automotive for many years.

Preceding her in death, 1 daughter, Lakita Lashell Newborn, 3 brothers; George Crowder, Joe Alex Newborn and Melvin Newborn.   

She leaves to cherish her memories; 2 daughters, Pamela Newborn and Tamiko (Kendale) Puckett of Bolivar, TN, a soulmate Kelvin McClendon of Memphis, TN, 4 grandchildren; Ednetra Spears, Edriquez Newborn, Kendasia & Tamia Puckett, 1 brother; Eld. Johnnie (Jackie) Nelson, 1 sister; Lillie B. McClellan of Bolivar, TN and a nephew whom she treated like her very own, Tajuan McClellan of Murfreesboro, TN, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who loved her dearly
