85 Years Old
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024; God called Betty Louise Pugh to rest. She was born to the late Jim and Mary Pugh.
Her funeral service was scheduled for Saturday May 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Amazing Grace COGIC with Pastor Hurbert Murphy in charge. Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Betty accepted Christ at an early age and joined Campbell Chapel MB Church.
She loved cooking, fishing, and family gatherings.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one son, Danzell Crisp; two daughters, Betty Sue Pugh and Casandra Pugh; her life long partner, Mr. Roy Dubose; six sisters, Cora Pugh, Annie Spinks, Lucille Spinks, Daisy Sharp, Mary Emma McClear, and Katherine Brown and one brother, Jimmie Pugh.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Earlene Pugh of Bolivar, TN, Pauline Howell (Brice) of Henderson, TN, Maxine Hill (Charles) of Bolivar, TN, Christine Clark (Charles) of Memphis, TN and Bridgett Crisp of Bolivar, TN; two sons, Ricky Crisp ( Trisha) of Bolivar, TN and Roy Pugh ( Jennifer) of Henderson, TN; twenty-six grandchildren, fortyone great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best And now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you’ve earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts we’ll eternally keep.
