Cathy Woods

Mrs. Cathy Woods was born January 20th, 1969 to Betty Scates and Luther Robinson.  She passed away on Monday October 28, 2024.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday November 9, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Hillfield MB Church with Reverend Larence Pirtle in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She was the oldest child of four. She graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1987.

She worked at Maxwell's Big Star approximately twenty years. After leaving Big Star, she was employed at Western Mental Health until her health prevented her from working.

Cathy accepted Christ at an early age.  She was an active member of Hillfield MB Church until her health failed.

Cathy leaves to cherish her memories a loving husband, James Woods Sr. of Bolivar; two children, LaKeta Scates and James Woods, Jr. both of Bolivar, TN; one step daughter, Khamiaya Barber of Bolivar,TN; one grandchild, JacQueen Woods of Bolivar, TN; her loving mother, Betty Scates of Bolivar, TN; one sister, Gladys “Foxy” Scates of Bolivar, TN; four brothers, David “Wayne” Scates, Ricardo (Dale) Scates, Courtney Robinson, and Cedric Jones all of Bolivar, TN; two aunts, Lavera Wilkes and Diane Simpson both of Bolivar, TN; three uncles, Don Scates, Rickey Scates, and Toney Scates all of Bolivar, TN; five sisters-in-law, Earnestine (Tony) Macon, Janie Woods, Sandra Woods, Elaine Woods, and Debra Woods all from Bolivar, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
