Charlie Edward Minter was born on November 5, 1949 to James and Louella Minter in Hardeman County, TN.

His funeral service was held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at 12:00 noon at the Johnson Chapel CME Church with Pastor Larry Hughes in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He entered eternal rest at home on Friday, April 22, 2022, among family in Jackson, TN.

He never met a stranger, and because of his unique sense of humor, he was a joy to be around.

Early in life, he professed his faith and hope in Christ and united with Johnson Chapel CME Church where his membership remained.

Charlie attended school in Hardeman County, TN, most notably, Allen White High School.

Charlie was united in Holy Matrimony to Lelia sails, and to this union three children were born.

He later married Bettye Gail Minter and to that union there were no children. Charlie was preceded in death by both parents, James Minter and Louella Hall Minter: One daughter; Wanda Faye Minter: one grandson; Kevin Lamont Minter: one sister; Almonzine Norment: one brother; Jimmie Lee Minter.

Charlie leaves to cherish his memories: His wife; Bettye Gail Minter of Whiteville, TN: four children; Kevin (Elizabeth) Minter of Jackson, TN, Anita Minter of Jackson, TN, Gary (Marissa) Oliver of Springfield, IL, and Jeanine Pace of Evanston, IL: three step children; Chamicka Robertson, Johnesia Beard, and John Beard all of Whiteville, TN: One sister; Irene Minter of Milwaukee, WI: one brother; Herman (Jean) Minter of Memphis, TN: seven grand children, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
