At an early age, Christine professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Elcanaan Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful and dedicated member until she joined Antioch Baptist Church. Christine was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Beard of Whiteville, Tennessee. To this union, seven children were born. Committed to her vows, she exemplified the epitome of an outstanding mother and wife at all times. Robert preceded her in death on January 22, 1985. Throughout life adversities, she passionately “walked by Faith and not by Sight.” No matter what life dispersed, her faith surpassed each mountain.
Such that, she dedicated 32 years of service to the State of Tennessee as an employee of Western Mental Health Institute, a faithful church member and tither serving on different committees, and an avid believer in promoting the local Black History Commission in Hardeman County, Tennessee. Her Christian and Civic life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so dearly; and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all of those who personally knew her and genuinely cared.
