Christopher "Chris" Gunn was born on March 30, 1969, and peacefully transitioned on April 6, 2026, at 11:40 a.m. at Bolivar Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar, Tennessee.

At a young age, Chris accepted Christ at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, where his faith took root and stayed with him.

He attended Middleton Elementary School and Middleton High School, building friendships that would last a lifetime.

Chris was a quiet but strong presence, a pillar of love to so many. Though he was an only child, he was surrounded by a large, loving extended family and lifelong friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Annie Gunn. He was preceded in death by his father, Otis J.P. Gunn; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blake, and Mr. and Mrs. General Gunn; his uncles, Max and Thorman; and his aunts, Lizzy, Gladys, and Eva Lacy. He leaves behind his uncle, Sammie; and his aunts, Johnnie, Eula Mae, Larvor, and Lucille. He is also survived by aunts on his father's side, Laura, Catherine, and Zadie. In addition, he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will carry his memory.
