Clara Ruth (Robinson) Parham

Clara Ruth Robinson Parham of Bolivar passed away on Wednesday January 26, 2022.  She was born May 27, 1948 to the late Willie Odell and Pearline Robinson.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Robert Parham in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Ruth attended schools in the Hardeman County School system.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Clover Chapel M.B. Church in Cloverpport.   She later became a member of Greater Springfield M.B. Church. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was a devoted member of the adult choir at Greater Springfield and a member of The Mighty Wings of Glory for over 10 years.

On August 4, 1965, she was united in holy matrimony with the late Joe Roger Parham and to this union, 3 children were born; Joe Jr., Rogina and Rodney.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one son, Rodney;  granddaughter, Shatoya; two sisters; Pearlie Mae and Alice and three brothers; Willie Odell, Larry and Cornell. 

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Rogina; son, Joe Jr., stepson; Dewayne, four grandchildren; Kita, Kameshia, BJ & Brandon, five great grandchildren; Zyon, Kelshia, Kingston, Kyron and Jayla, brothers; Michael, Jerry, Tony and Larry, a special niece, Gladys and host of other nieces, nephews and friends that will miss her dearly.
