Clide Armiller McKinnie

May 29, 1930 ~ February 4, 2026 (age 95)

Clide Armiller McKinnie, passed away on Wednesday February 4, 2026.  She was born on May 29, 1930 in Chester County, TN to the late Collier Ross and Willie Mae Cawthorn Ross.  

Her funeral service was held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Tate Road Church of Christ with Minister Larry Prince in charge. Burial was at the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

She attended the Gibson Rosenwald School and Chester County Training School where she was class president.

She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Oak Grove Church of Christ.  When she relocated to Bolivar she and Jesse Mae Woods help start the Church of Christ congregation.  She was a faithful member of Tate Road COC.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed reading the Bible.   

On March 3, 1951 she married Ernest "Tom" McKinnie and to this union they had four children.  

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Zelda Mickens and Bobbie Joyce Coble and two siblings that died as infants, Delores and Kenneth Ross.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ernestine (LaVerl) Moore, Paulette (David) Boyd, Joyce Woods and Randy McKinnie; siblings Max and Stanley Ross and Candie Clark; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
