Curtis Lawrence Walker was born on July 22, 1949 to Curtis and Dorothy Walker.

His funeral service was held on Sunday October 13, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Olive MB Church with Minister George Walker in charge.  Burial was in the Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery at Parker's Crossroads and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Curtis accepted Christ at an early age and is a member of New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Middleton, TN, but have always supported his wife in her music ministry.

Curtis was the first born of the family. Curtis graduated from Bolivar Industrial High School, class of 1967.

Curtis was a member of the United States Marine Corp. He was employed at Western Mental Health. He retired from Bell South /AT&T telephone company in 2012 after 44 years of service. Curtis later became employed with Dixie Funeral Home until God called him home. He was a faithful worker all his life and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Curtis was united in Holy Matrimony to Betty Walker for forty four years. To this union, two children were born.

Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Walker; two brothers, Willie Joe & Roy Walker. Curtis leaves to cherish his memories; His loving wife , Betty Walker; one daughter, Camecia (Allen) Springfield; one son, Kevin Walker; two grand daughters, Damecia Pruitt and Allayna Springfield; one great grandson, D’Autrio Williams; one brother, George (Pam) Walker; two sisters, Rose (David) Tutt and Barbara Murdock; one aunt, Juanita Graham and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
