Darrell Keith Perry was born on November 4, 1965. He was the son of Treada Jones and Edward Griffin. Darrell gained his wings on April 7, 2023, at the age of 57.

His funeral service was held on April 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Greater Springfield MB Church with Pastor Ernest Polk in charge.  Burial was in the Mt. Calvary MB Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He attended Bolivar Central High School and graduated in 1984. While attending Bolivar Central High School, he excelled at Masonry and competed in the State Masonary Competition and won 1st place. Darrell was definitely a jack of all trades.

Darrell confessed Christ at an early age at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church and in his latter years, he joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the Pastorage of Pastor Earnest Polk. To know Darrell was to love him! He loved his people, he would call and check on his people anytime of the day or night. He was a giving person and laying bricks was one of his passions; as well as cooking. Darrell moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1992, after moving back to Bolivar, TN, he joined Mt. Calvary Baptist church under the Pastorage of Pastor Algie Jarrett, Sr.

A few years later, he married the love of his life, Connie Perry, they shared 32 long years together. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Dora and James Perry, grandparents; Edgar and Eunice Griffin, daughter; Erika Jarrett- Morgan (late Montrell Morgan), aunts; Doretha Perry and Eva Buggs; uncle; Robert Perry, grandson; Demetrius Jarrett, Jr., great granddaughter; Aubrey Nicole Jarrett, nephew; Jacquez Perry(Q Migo), uncles; JC Loston Griffin, JE Austin Griffin, Sylvester Griffin, Oscar Griffin, and Eulas Griffin.

He leaves to cherish a loving wife, Connie Jean Perry, his devoted and loving parents; Treada Jones and Edward Griffin, brothers; Stanley Perry, Eric Cooksey (Hilda), and Antonio Sumpter, sisters; Dietary Jarrett (Jerome), Carol Perry, Angela Shea Pugh-Smith (Jeffery), Yolanda Smith- Powell (Ernest), Tina Matthews, and Karen Griffin, children; Demetrius Jarrett (Romeka), and Johnathan Jarrett, grandchildren; Cordashia Jarrett, Dekiya Jarrett, Jadaylyn Morgan, Trezya Morgan, Ra’nya Jarrett, and Jaydan Jarrett, brothers in love; Pastor Ernest Polk (Jewel), and Robert Polk (Tara), sister in love; Brenda Lake (Michael), aunts; Levora Woods, Joyce Perry, Joyce Woods, Helen Taylor, Bernice Todd, and Carrie Gatlin (Charles), caring and devoted friends; Rochelle Woods Sr., Willie Woods, and James Crisp, two special cousins; Ray Lake and Starla Perry, and a host of other family members and friends.
