David Clyde Hicks was born on January 1, 1953 to Mr. Mark Hicks and Ms. Everlyn Hicks in Benton County Mississippi.

On July 22, 2023 at Jackson Madison County Hospital, our Heavenly Father summoned another one of his servants home.

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 29, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Hardaway MB Church with Minister Willie Smith in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

David confessed his faith in Christ at an early age and joined Hardaway MB Church.

David was educated in the Benton/Hardeman County School System.

David was employed at Sequentia Incorporated for several years.

David loved telling jokes and drawing.

He was preceded in death by his father; Mark Hicks: one brother, Early Hugh Richardson. He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons; Dexter Hicks and Cameron Hicks of Grand Junction, TN; his mother; Everlyn Hicks of Grand Junction, TN; two brothers, Otis (Genoveva) Hicks of El Paso, TX, and Othell (Eardale) Hicks of Grand Junction, TN; one sister; Linda (Robert) Woods of Grand Junction, TN; a close friend; Leroy Buggs of Nashville, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.
