Mr. Dewey Harris affectionately known as “Bonnie” was born April 13, 1966 in Hardeman County to the late William Dewey and Mrs. Frankie Mae Harris.

His funeral service was held on Saturday August 24, 2024 at 12:00 pm at St. Paul Skippers Springs MB Church with Pastor Alge Terry in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Bonnie accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age at St. Paul Skipper Springs MB Church in Grand Junction, TN.

Bonnie was a hard worker.

He worked for Quinco Institution Transportation Service in Bolivar, TN. He loved cars, and also loved working on old cars.

Bonnie loved his mother whom he would come to see on Tuesday and Fridays to eat breakfast with his daughter and grand daughters whom he cherished and loved tremendously.

Bonnie was preceded in death by his father, Reverend William Dewey Harris; his sister, Nina Harris; his brother, Nathaniel Harris; his niece, Tabitha Valentine; his nephews, Asah Valentine and Antonio Harris; his sister-in -law, Bernice Harris and one brother-in -law, Jeffrey Davis.

Bonnie departed this life on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Bolivar General Hospital. Dewey “Bonnie” Harris leaves to cherish his loving memory: his loving mother, Frankie Mae Harris of Grand Junction, TN; his daughter, Shanika Kimp of Memphis, TN; two brothers, William Harris, Jr. of Memphis, TN and Joe Harris of Bolivar, TN; five sisters, Martha Harris and Annie Davis of Grand Junction, TN, Debbie (Coreal) Bradley of Arlington, TN, Cora Lee Long of Ashland, MS, and Annie Lee Harris of Chicago, IL; two grand children, Makynze and Makynle Kimp of Memphis, TN; one aunt, Mae Willie Pugh of Grand Junction, TN; two uncles, Lewell Hunt of Grand Junction, TN and Charles William of Ashland, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
