His funeral service was held on Saturday August 7, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Dixie Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Faith Payne  in charge. Burial was in the New Life Community Church Cemetery in Somerville, Tn and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

A Time to Be Born 

Donzell Jones Jr. affectionately known to his family as "Duke" was born on March 1, 1961, to the late Donzell Jones, Sr. and Rosie Mae Jones in Whiteville, Tennessee. 

A Time for Eternal Rest 

On Friday, July 30, 2021, God decided that it was time for his beloved and precious son to return to His heavenly kingdom to rest. 

Duke was proceeded in death by his father; Donzell Jones Sr. and three brothers: Clarence William Morgan, Michael Jones, and Ricky Jones. 

A Time to Live

Duke was a precious jewel that was cherished by his family and all that knew him. He had the most humbling spirit. Duke embraced life was a bright, warm smile and a cheerful outlook. Despite being nonverbal, he was able to express his job and love for his family in clever ways; whether it was a smile, a cheer of excitement, or a warm embrace. Duke was an inspiration to his family. He taught us kindness and patience, and to also be happy and find joy in the simple things in life. He is truly a precious jewel that will never be forgotten. 

A Time to Mourn

Those left to cherish found memories are his loving and devoted mother; Rosie Mae Jones, six loving siblings: two brothers: Jerry (Mary) Jones and Robert (Nicole) Jones; four sisters: Patricia (Sherman) Morgan, Mary Neely, Beatrice Jones, and Rosie Marie Jones; a special niece/sister, Cassandra Giles and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and friends.
