Dorothy Jean Rivers passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2022.  She was born on June 27, 1945 to the late Willie and Mattie Rivers. 

Her funeral service was held on Saturday December 31, 2022 at 11:00 am at Old Bethel MB Church with Pastor Charlie Boyle in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Antioch Baptist Church.  She later moved her membership to Old Bethel Baptist Church where she was a faithful member.  

She was educated in the Hardeman County public shcools.  She loved to sing and praise God. She also enjoyed working with young people and encouraging and uplifting others.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lou Evelyn Pearson; two brothers, Willie D. Rivers and Thomas Ray Lake.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dennis (Charlene) Crowder, Vanessa (Arthur) Rucker and Kimberlyn Wilson; several grand and great grandchildren; any other relatives and friends that will miss her.
