Earl Dubose, Sr. passed away on Sunday August 10, 2025. He was born on November 8, 1961 to the late Carrie Wooden and Ezekiel Crisp.
His funeral service was held on Sunday August 17, 2025 at Greater Springfield MBC with Pastor Shon Beasley in charge. Burial was in the Little Walnut Grove Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
At an early age he professed a hope in Jesus Christ and joined Little Walnut Grove MB Church.
He was a Central High School graduate.
He will be remembered for his dress attire, a huge belt buckle, pointed toe cowboy boots and spurs and a large brim cowboy hat.
He had multiple nick names, the Doctor, Doctor Du, the Alligator and Elvis Presley. He had many sayings, "it's over wit" and "let's go to work".
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Jahquille Dubose; sisters, Mozell Parham, Johnnie Mae Smith and Linda Crisp; brothers Oscar Wooden, Jr. and Willis Wooden.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Earl (Brittany) Dubose and Brittany McGowan; eight sisters, Diane (William) Howard, Diane (Gary) Atwaters, Linda Dubose, Maxine Crisp and Mary (Leo) Bufford; two brothers, Larry (Brenda) Wooden and Mac Edward Gatlin; six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
