Earley Hugh Lewis, Sr. was born on June 8, 1949, to the late Joe and Aggie Lewis of Grand Junction, TN. He departed this life on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Germantown Methodist Hospital.

His funeral service was held on Saturday May 24, 2025 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul Skippers Springs MB Church with Pastor Alge Terry in charge.  Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.come was in charge of the professional service. 

Earley attended Bolivar High School.

Earley was employed with Commuter Transportation for the City of Detroit, MI for over 19 years until his retirement.

Earley leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mary “Cille” Lewis of Moscow, TN; five daughters, Phyllis Horton of Germantown, TN, Lassandra Wright and Renee Lewis of Detroit, MI, Shelia Lewis of Atlanta, GA, and Alma (Early Hugh) Poplar of Michigan City, MS; thre sons, Earley Lewis, Jr. of Grand Junction, TN, Earley Dewayne (Sherri) Wright and Anthony Wright of Detroit, MI; one sister, Betty Mae Tomlinson; one brother, Joe Lewis, Jr.; one granddaughter raised as his own child, Breanna Wright; a special friend, Ken Yuan White known as Yuany from Detroit MI. He leaves a host of bonus children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends
