Eddie Lee Smith, 74, passed away on Saturday May 3, 2025. He was born on September 7, 1950 to the late Udell Smith and Annie Williams.
Eddie professed his love for Jesus Christ at an early age an became a member of Hardaway M.B. Church. He later joined Greater Works Deliverance Ministries, where he remained a faithful member until his passing.
His funeral service was held on Saturday May 10, 2025 at 100 pm at Hardaway MB Church with Reverend Joe Johnson in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Eddie was a devoted husband to Katie Mae Smith and a loving father to his four children: Hattie Pearl Smith (preceded him in death), Tyrone (April) Smith of Brownsville, TN, Angela (Antonio) Kendrick of Chattanooga, TN, and Tracey (Shun) Wilkes of Bolivar, TN. He also lovingly embraced four stepchildren through marriage.
He leaves behind nine grandchildren: Stacey (Ron) Turner, Ebony (Stefoneo) Herron, Tyris (Jimmyra) Smith, Brianna Smith, Tyrone Smith Jr., Lakendra Ivory, Tyreke Ivory, Jashun Dotson, Tyler Smith, and Ashley Currie. In addition, he is survived by fifteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Smith also leaves to cherish his memory: brothers, Rev Herbert (Jo Ann) Smith of Middleton, TN, Enloe (Dorothy) Smith of Grand Junction, TN, & Jerome Smith (preceded him in death); sisters, Sherry Peterson of Whiteville, TN, Dorothy (Willie) Mason of Grand Junction, TN, Judy Buggs of Grand Junction, TN, and Bobbie Boyd who also preceded him in death.
He also leaves host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends to cherish his memories.
