Edward Lee Boyd (Pap) was born on February 27, 1958 in Whiteville, TN. He departed this life on April 21, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, TN.

His funeral service was held on Saturday April 30, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Bartlet Chapel CME Church with Pastor  in charge.  Burial was in the Church Church and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He confessed a hope in Christ, at an early age, at Bartlett Chapel CME Church, where his membership remained until his death.

Edward attended Hardeman County School System, completed the 11th grade and then transferred to Hardeman County Developmental Service in 1977.

He trained and worked several jobs where he met and made many lifetime friends with co-workers, other students and trainers. During the time of his death, he was in care of the staff of Loving Arms Services. Mr. Boyd loved taking pictures, yard work and being with his family. Edward Lee leaves to cherish his memories; his loving mother; Carrie Boyd-Dotson of Bolivar, TN, his brother; David (Paulette) Boyd of Toone, TN and his sister; Bettie Boyd of Bolivar, TN, 2 aunts; Mary Boyd of Cleveland, OH and Mary Lee Boyd of Memphis, TN, a best friend/cousin; Keith Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his 2 nephews; Christopher Boyd and Brian “Tony” Boyd of Whiteville, TN.
