Elfrin Rodrayguez Beard departed this life on March 11, 2026 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar, Tennessee.
Rod was born on Thursday, March 11, 1976, to Margie Ann Beard and Ray Dean Johnson at Haywood Park General Hospital in Brownsville, Tennessee.
Rod confessed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Lane Chapel CME Church, where he faithfully served as the church pianist for over twenty years.
One of Rod's proudest accomplishments was attending Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, where he crossed into the Delta Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Rod was a hardworking man who deeply loved his family, especially his nieces, Brelyn A'Mya Mathews and Bryleigh Chanel Motley, who were truly the love of his life.
He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, John and Elizabeth Beard; Girlene Johnson of Whiteville, Tennessee; and Raymond Giles of Nashville, Tennessee.
Rod leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his parents, Ernest and Margie Pirtle of Whiteville, Tennessee; his sisters, Jessica Mathews of Bolivar, Tennessee, Bianca (Bryan) Motley of Oakland, Tennessee, and Treena Woody of Millington, Tennessee; his beloved nieces, Brelyn A'Mya Mathews and Bryleigh Chanel Motley; three aunts, Brenda (Tommie) Dotson of Whiteville, Tennessee, Chandra (Glenn) Lake of Whiteville, Tennessee, and Lydia Beard of Cordova, Tennessee; his god-mother, Dorothy Prather and godsister, DeJuana Lyons both of Jackson, Tennessee; along with a host of other loving family members, fraternity brothers of the Delta Epsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., sorority sisters of the Tau Gamma Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and dear friends
