Elsie Mae (Watkins) Bowden, passed away on May 31, 2022 in Bolivar, TN.
 
Elsie was born in Hardeman County to Cora P. Watkins and Willie Watkins on February 7, 1942.  She attended public schools in Hardeman County (TN) where she excelled in the game of basketball. She married WC Bowden on October 7, 1963 in Bolivar, TN.  She was a devoted member of Oak Hill Baptist Church (Bolivar, TN).
 
Elsie is preceded in death by her sons, Dedrick and Keith. Siblings, Willie, Howard, Shirley (Thomas Ray) Bolden, Jean Reaves (Archie), James and Faye Watkins and Ida Watkins.
 
Elsie is survived by her husband of 59 years, WC, son, Fredrick (Tracey), Daughter-in-law, Marjorie Bowden, sisters, Carmelita (Benny) (Hendersonville, TN) and Vickie (Greg) Nashville, TN. Grandchildren, Derrell, Brandon, Tylus and Tiffany. Great grandchildren, Quian and Brylee and a host of nieces and nephews. She also leaves to cherish a host of brothers, sisters-in-law, family members, church family and friends.
