Emma Polk

70 Years Old

Emma Polk passed away on Saturday December 2, 2023.  She was born on March 8, 1953 to the late Lula Mae Sails Polk and Jessie James Polk.  She was the eldest of seven children.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday December 9, 2023 a 12:00 noon at Bethlehem MB Church with Pastor Arthur Becton in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She accepted Jesus Christ at a young age.  She was a member of Bethlehem MB Church.  She was a caretaker for many family members children and enjoyed gardening, sewing , listening to gospel music and cleaning. 

Three siblings preceded her in death, Louise Crowder, Mary Polk and Jessie Polk.  

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Shelia (Jerry) Williams and Charlie (Arnell) Polk; four grandchildren including one she raised, Fonta Polk; two great grand children and one great,great grandchild;  siblings, Bessie (Lawyer) Wellington, Lula Polk and Betty Amons; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
