Fannie Pearl Hussey
December 1, 1942 ~ August 20, 2025
82 Years Old
Fannie Pearl (Buntyn) Hussey was born December 1, 1942 in Fayette County TN. She was the 5th of 12 children born to the late Jessie and Lealer Buntyn, Sr. Fannie went home to live with God on August 20, 2025.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Salem MB Church. Burial was in the Hopewell MB Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
She attended Prospect School where she excelled in her studies and enjoyed playing basketball. She was a 1961 graduate of Bolivar Industrial High School and an excellent student, especially in Language Arts.
Fannie enjoyed cooking, exercising on her Cubii, traveling, gardening, working, solving word puzzles and sewing. She was a great seamstress, who made clothes for her family.
Fannie professed a hope in Christ at an early age and became a member of Hopewell M.B. Church. While there she served as the church secretary for over 30+ years. She later joined Mt. Salem where she served in the Senior’s & the Women’s Sunday School Ministry until her health began to decline. She loved her church and God and faithfully served until the end.
She was a homemaker until her sons reached high school age. She then began working at Hill Haven (currently Pine Meadows) nursing home as a CNA. In1987, She began working for PRO Care of TN where she served patients in Hardeman and Fayette County. She loved taking care of her patients. After the company closed, she began a new adventure. She worked at Walmart in Collierville, TN in the bakery. She enjoyed baking and worked there until her retirement in 2012.
In August, 1962, She married Willie Bob Hussey and to this union three children were born.
Fannie is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Leopolyer Buntyn, Sr, Essie Mae Hussey, Jessie Buntyn, Jr, John Lee Buntyn, Mary Lucille Cavitt, LenaMae & Rogers Buntyn and grandson Keith Hussey, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Karen (Willie) Hunter of Jackson, TN; sons, Duane Hussey of Grand Jct., TN, and Keith Hussey of Bolivar TN; Grandson, Devonte Brown of Jackson, TN; 4 Great grandchildren; M’Laysha McMullin, Raegan Hussey, Jalunni Hussey and Davon Brown; Bonus Grandsons, DeMauri Lewis & Chaynce (C J) McMullin; Siblings, Earnestine Avent of Pryorsburg, KY, John Henry Buntyn of Breckinridge, KY, Charles (Mary) Buntyn of Xenia, Ohio, and Phyllis Johnson of Jackson, TN; 3 sisters-in-law, Beatrice Buntyn, Annie L. Hussey and Willie Mae Hussey; brother-in-law, Henry Lee Hussey; special friends, Ms. Ruby Berry, Dianne Lake, Ms. Geneva Trabue & John Hood; Special daughters Santina McMullin & Beverly Walton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
