Flossie Ann Hunt was born Tuesday June 10, 1952 in Michigan City, MS.
On Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the age of seventy-one years; she looked and saw a door open in Heaven and heard the voice of God saying, “Come UP Here” and crossed over into everlasting life.
Flossie Hunt was born to the late Mr. Joe Henry Hunt And Patsy Ann Hunt. Flossie was the youngest of nine children.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 12:00 noon at St. Paul Skipper Springs MB Church with Pastor Alge Terry in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
She accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Paul Skipper Springs MB Church.
Flossie Hunt was a very hard worker and homemaker. She loved to cook and take care of her family.
In her early years, she was employed at Cartwright. She also worked in the community cleaning houses. She volunteered at the Senior Citizen Center in Grand Junction, TN. She also helped many seniors in the community with household chores. She was a caregiver from the heart.
In addition to her parents, Flossie Hunt was preceded in death by four sisters; Dortha Mae Hunt, Louise Jenkins, Ella Hunt (Percy), and Emma Lee Buntyn (Bill): one brother; James Hunt: one grandson; Cortavion Cheairs: one son in law; Corey Mitchell: two brothers-in-law; William Harris and Burle Pugh. Flossie was also preceded in death by a niece and nephew that she raised as her own; Pricilla Jenkins and Joseph Hunt.
She will live on through the lives of her children and grandchildren.
Flossie Hunt leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters; Patty Mitchell and Seleka Cheairs (Chad Hunt): one son; Gregory Hunt (Shelia): fourteen grandchildren; Renata, Gabriel, Traveal, Gregory, Jr., Antonio, Anterio, D’James, Anferio, Anfernee, Anzerio, Shanequa, Shaunequa, Cordavion, and Patavion: nine great grandchildren; Na’Zia, J’La, Ka’Mia, Corey, Landon, Charlie, Noelle, Asher, and Anzerio, Jr.: two sisters; Frankie Harris and Mae Willie Pugh: one brother; Lemell Hunt: one special niece; Ella Hayes: three nephews that she raised as her own; George Hunt, Jeffery Jenkins, and Joseph Pugh: very special friends; Sharron Poole, Florine Taylor, Ida Loue Valentine, and Willie Mae Hussey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The greatest legacy one can pass to one’s life is not money or material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith. Flossie Hunt left a great legacy in all the lives of everyone she touched.
