Frieda Nicole McKinnie Montgomery

March 11, 1985 ~ December 31, 2025 (age 40)

Frieda McKinnie-Montgomery, daughter of the late Yvonne Woods and Mr. Larry McKinnie, Sr. was born March 11, 1985 at Jackson General Hospital.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday January 17, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Greater Springfield MB Church with Minister Larry McKinnie III in charge.  Burial was in the Green Grove church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.

She was a 2003 graduate of Bolivar Central High School. She accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Campbell Chapel M.B. Church. After graduation, Frieda joined the United States Postal Service as a city mail carrier. She became the neighborhood’s favorite mail carrier. She was employed with USPS for nine years.

Frieda loved spending time with her family. She had the smile that would light up any room. She was the life of any family event. She loved to dance and was a social butterfly.
Frieda was united in Holy Matrimony to Marvin Montgomery and to this union, one son was born, Markeveyon Montgomery.

On January 2, 2026, God called Frieda home to reunite with her mother, Yvonne Woods; grand parents, Ermon and Lucille McKinnie, Henry Clay McNeal and Mary Woods; sister, Yolanda Bills
Harris and two uncles, S.T. Woods and Casey McNeal.

Frieda leaves to cherish her memories: Her husband, Marvin Montgomery; two sons, Timochio Pugh, Jr. and Markeveyon Montgomery both of Bolivar, TN; her father, Larry (Mary) McKinnie, Sr. of Bolivar, TN; two sisters, Tristan McKinnie and Minister Virginia Ann McKinnie both of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Larry “Adrian” McKinnie, Jr. of TX, Pastor Larry (Jasmine) McKinnie, III of Memphis, TN, and Michael Brooks of Franklin, TN; eight aunts, Shirley (Jr.) Bishop, Marbleane (Lorenzo) Embrey, Lettie Jean Woods, and Felecia McNeal, all of Bolivar, TN, Rev. Unice (Darrell) Gatlin, Regina (Chevezze) Overton, both of Jackson, TN, LaGail (Paul) Lowe of North Carolina, and Tonia Crawford of Memphis, TN; eight uncles, Arthur Lee (Bobbie) McKinnie of Jackson, TN,
Johnny McKinnie of Chicago, IL, Kenneth Woods of Bolivar, TN, Sammy (Margaret) McNeal of Nashville, TN, Beford (Jackie) McNeal of Jackson, TN, Kenneth Bills, Elmo (Samantha) McNeal, and Danny Ray McNeal all of Bolivar, TN; three nephews, Adrain Woods of OH, Brennan McKinnie of Bolivar, TN, and Zander McKinnie of Memphis, TN; three nieces, Alysia and Jordan Brooks both
of Franklin, TN, and Zola McKinnie of Memphis, TN. Frieda leaves a host of cousins and friends that will miss her truly.
