SEPTEMBER 14, 1966 ~ SEPTEMBER 6, 2019 (AGE 52)

Mr. Gregory “Gaye Gaye” McKinnie was born September 14, 1966 to Mr. & Mrs. Issac and Geneva McKinnie of Bolivar, TN. Gregory was the second of four children.

His funeral service was held on Sunday September 14, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Greater New Hope MB Church with Elder James Patterson charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Gregory was personally picked by God on September 6, 2019.

Gregory accepted Christ at an early age where he attended Greater New Hope M.B. Church under the guidance of Rev. James Patterson.

Gregory received his education and graduated from Bolivar Central High School. After graduating, he worked at Garner Automotive in Whiteville for many many years. He then went to work for Capro in Selmer, TN, until they closed. He later was employed at Stainless Steel in Selmer, TN. Until his health began to fail.

Gregory was preceded in death by one daughter; Sha’Kera Shanice McKinnie: his grandparents; John and Mamie McKinnie, and Sallie Mae and Knox Crisp.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memories, six children; Jasma McKinnie of Clarksville, TN., Gregory Griggs of Bolivar, TN., La’Shandra (Abias) Ellison and DeShondra McKinnie both of Jackson, TN., Ja’pera McKinnie and Lyndarius Armour both of Bolivar, TN.: three siblings; Lane (Lisa) McKinnie of Smyrna, TN., Orlando (Stacy) McKinnie of Hickory Valley, TN., and Javonna McKinnie of Bolivar, TN.: eight grandchil-dren: a very very special friend, Pam Turner: a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including three friends that is called “BROTHER”, Timothy Hill, Nod Turner, and Marshall Woods.
