Henry Lee Herron (Mannie Boy) was born July 20, 1947 to the late Will and Nicy Herron. Henry departed this life on earth February 3, 2022 in his home in Bolivar, Tennessee.

His funeral service was held on Saturday February 12, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Antioch MB Church with Pastor Jermaine Shaw in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Antioch Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee under the leadership of Rev. Charles Murphy. Henry lived a full and happy life! He attended Hardeman County public schools. He enjoyed riding horses, watching his westerns and helping others in need. Mannie Boy was employed for twenty- eight years at Western State Mental Health. After he retired from this job, he started his travel business where he would leave his home about 5:30 AM each morning and travel to Bolivar Tennessee. Mannie Boy is preceded in death by his parents Will and Nicy Herron; six uncles: Arthur Lee Hall, King Scott, Lester Herron, James Herron, Ernest Herron and Prince Sain; eight aunts: Idell Rhodes, Mary Louise Herron, Queen Blaylock, Paige Woods, Ester Herron, Mary Neely, Rose McNeal and Armie Wood. Henry’s kind sprit will be especially missed by his loving family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory Six children; Aknia Clark, Antwan Herron, Cedric Ammons, Christopher Woods, Kristy Lake (Devon) and Lamonte Hardwick: Nineteen grandchildren; Eleven great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Three special young men Nico Matthew, Bobby and Mickey Croom.
