Hester Reaves passed away Sept. 15, 2023, at the age of 77 after a battle with Alzheimer's, just six days shy of her 78th birthday.

Her funeral service was held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Zion Temple Worship Center C.O.G.I.C. with Pastor Wendell Sain in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home http://www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Hester was born on September 21, 1945, in Bolivar, TN, to James I. Williams and Deborah Marshall Williams.  She was preceded in death by both parents, as well as her sister, Mattie Lou Sain & brother James (Bubba Cat) Williams.

Hester, and her husband Paul, were owners of the former Pleasure Time Club (Dr. Boogie's) in Bolivar.  She briefly worked at Bolivar Speaker Works, and was also a long time employee of Dover Elevators in Middleton, TN.  She grew up and spent most of her life in Bolivar, but also resided in Chicago, IL and Muncie, IN.

She will be remembered for many things including her delicious spaghetti, her love of home makeover TV shows, her deep knowledge of sports, and her devotion to family.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Reaves of Bolivar; her sister, Azie Lee McTizic of Bolivar; her son, Harvey Reaves of Los Angeles, California; her daughter, Audrea Reaves, of Murfreesboro, TN; her grandchildren, Whitney Crisp, Jalen Crisp, & Ryan Crisp; three great - grandchildren, two god-daughters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
