Howard Wayne “Bike” Jarrett, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on February 26, 2025 at Christian Care Center in Bolivar, TN.
Howard Wayne was born on May 6, 1955 in Bolivar, TN to the late Robert and Maggie Jarrett.
His funeral service was held on Friday March 7, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Mt. Calvary MB Church with Reverend Algie Jarrett in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Throughout his career Howard Wayne served in Army National Guard worked at, Harmon Automotive, Bakers, Bruce Hardware Floors, and J&J Pallets for several years until his health failed.
Beyond many other achievements, Howard Wayne was a devoted family man.
He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Calvary MB Church serving as an usher for many years until his health prohibited him. Howard Wayne will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his unwavering optimism, and his profound love for life.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love and compassion that will continue to inspire generations to come.
Howard Wayne was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Maggie Jarrett; one brother, Robert Jarrett; two sisters, Mattie Polk and Margaret Brown; one granddaughter, K’naya McKinnie. He is survived by his daughter, Kamedria McKinnie; three grandchildren, Roshun McKinnie, Tierra McKinnie, and K’Maya McKinnie; two great grandchildren, Kyrie McKinnie and Kaylei Meeks all of Bolivar, TN; four brothers, Horace (Mrytle) Jarrett, Algie (Tommie) Jarrett both of Bolivar, TN, James (Carla) Jarrett of Jackson, TN, Burl (Jacqueline) Jarrett, of Bolivar, TN; three sisters, Charlene (Nelson) Hurd, Betty Golden, and Ernestine McNeil all of Bolivar, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss him dearly.
