Inez Davis

Inez Sain Davis, 98, of Detroit, Michigan passed away on Wednesday March 2, 2022. She was born on November 23, 1923 in Bolivar to the late James and Viola Sain.

Her funeral sservice was held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmie Wafer in charge.  Burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

She was educated in the Hardeman County public schools and Haze Park High School where she received her diploma.  

She was married for forty-three years to the late Calvin Davis.  They were involved in many business ventures together.  

She was an active member of Historic New Mt. Zion MB Church since 1955 where she served in several ministries.  

She was one of the original members of the Marx Street Block Club.  She enjoyed cooking and baking. 

Preceding her in death were her parents and husbasnd; seven brothers, Clifton, Roosevelt, Lester LeJewell, Thessalonian, Cornelius and Odell Sain; five sisters, Ollie Mae Lake, Daisy Lee Thompson, Minnie Lee Sain, Rosetta Perkins and Vernez Hayes and Daryl James Hayes.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Jacqueline Marie Davis; sister, Mayola (Gene) McFadden; brother, Luther (Sherri) Sain; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
