James Marion Anderson, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA passed away on Sunday May 15, 2022.  He was born in Toone, TN on January 28, 1935 to the late James Marion Anderson and Elizabeth Chism.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday June 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home.  Burial was in the Anderson Memorial Cemetery-Toone and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

At a young age he attended Hillfield MB Church and professed a faith in Jesus Christ.  

He attended school at Hillfield School and graduated at Allen-White School-Whiteville.  

He enlisted into the United States Army and spent time in Germany.

After his time in the service he returned to Toone and later enrolled in Tennessee State University-Nashville.  He left school after the death of his brother, Walter.  

He then relocated to Los Angeles with his sister Ruth and her spouse Lieutenant Cheshier.  In 1962 he met is wife, Doris Clark Howard and her son Reginald.  In 1963 they married.  

He was a hard working, dedicated and loving family man that loved to tell stories about his life adventures.  Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Virda Grandberry, Ruth Perry and Dora Johnson; one brother, Walter Anderson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife; sons, Reginald (Angela), James III, Dereck, Jason (Cindy); sisters Mattie (Calvian) Dunnavant, Bobbie Walls and Joyce Richardson; seven grandchildren and many other relatives and friends that will miss him.
