April 2, 1948 ~ September 18, 2020 (age 72)

James "Disco Bo" Perry of Jackson passed away on Friday September 18, 2020.  He was born in Hardeman County on April 2, 1948 to the late Annie Mae Spinks.

His funeral service was held on Saturday September 26, 2020 at 11:00 pm at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Rev. David Perry in charge and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service. 

During his young days he spent time dancing thus his nickname "Disco Bo".

He was a 1966 graduate of Bolivar Industrial School.  He married the late Joyce Marie Perry and to this union two children were born, Shelia Ann and Bryant Fitzgerald.  

He attended Mt. Salem MB Church where he played the guitar with the choir.  

He live in Detroit, MI for several years and returned to Saulsbury.  He met Patsy Wilbourn and relocated to Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memory three children, Shelia Ann (Thomas) Brown,  Bryant Fitzgerald Perry and  Tracy Boyd; one stepson, Steve Wilbourn; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and many ohter relatives and frieds that will miss him.
