James Walker Hunt

James Walker Hunt, 76, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025.  He was born on October 19, 1948 to the late Walker Hunt and Louise Johnson Hunt.  

His funeral service was held on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 12:00 noon at New Prospect Community Church.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

He accepted Jesus Christ early in life and was a devoted member of New Prospect Community Church.  As a farmer he was a quiet and committed to his family.    

He was educated at Prospect School and Bolivar Industrial School.  

Preceding him in death were his parents, one stepdaughter, Charlotte Clark (Ron) and his wife, Mary Ann Mckinnie.

He leaves to cherish his memory four siblings, Annie Mae Hunt (Junior) Jenkins, Lacy Bell Hunt Perkins (Ralph), Wilma Louise Hunt and Jessie Hunt (Louise); many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
