James Clyde Williams "Some day we’ll meet again. our loved ones who have gone before; Some day we will reach that land, where parting will be no more!”

James Clyde Williams was born July 05, 1940 to the late Emmit Lee and Idell Duncan Williams in Hickory Valley, Tennessee.

His graveside service was held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at 12:00 pm at Mt. Salem MB Church Cemetery with Pastor Melvin Bufford in charge and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Early in life, James accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Mount Salem M. B. Church of Hickory Valley, TN and remained a faithful member until his demise.

James chose Miss Lois Joy to be his wife and on February 28, 1962 they exchanged marital vows which they kept for 58 years. God blessed them with nine children; six boys & three girls to nurture and train. James was truly a family man working various jobs to provide for his family. He retired from Wal-mart Super Center of Bolivar, Tennessee in 2014.

Monday, September 14, 2020, God dispatched an angel to Jackson General Hospital, Jackson, TN to retrieve the soul of James Clyde from an ailing body carrying him to a place of rest to await the return of his Savior. A granddaughter, whom he raised, Shatoya, four sisters: Dollie, Dorothy, Mary & Ethel Lee; three brothers: Richard, Fred, and Johnnie preceded him in death.

James departed this life leaving precious memories for his loving wife of 58 years, Mrs. Lois Joy Williams; three daughters: Tracy (Ricky) Cole, Dorothy (Kenny) Sain, Lois Cox; six sons: James (Tessie) Williams, Calvin (Lynne) Covington, Barry (Angie) Williams, Kenneth (Vanessa) Williams, Anthony (Sonya) Williams, and Cortez (Ebony) Williams; nine sisters: Margaret Robertson, Emma Williams, Helen Bolden, Crystal Parks, Virte Williams, Angie Williams, Gloria (Bobbie) Jones, Catherine Polk, & Sis Polk; two brothers: C J Williams & Jerry (Shelia) Williams; five sisters-in-law: Minnie Joy, Teresa Wooden, Jeanette Joy, Sandra Taylor & Teresa Joy; one brother-in-law, C H Murphy; a host of grandchildren, great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
