Janette Woods Obituary

Janette Woods

April 30, 1961 ~ March 15, 2021 (age 59)

Minister Jeanette Polk Woods was born April 30, 1961 in Hardeman County to Mr. James Polk, Sr. and the late Dorothy L. Polk. On March 15, 2021, God sent his angel down and guided Jeanette home to be with the Lord.

Her graveside service was held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Bolivar Community Cemetery with Pastor Nathan Crisp in charge.  Dixie funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

Minister Woods attended Hardeman County Schools graduating from Bolivar Central High School. Jeanette went to Jackson State Community College where she received her Associates Degree. She then furthered her education by attending Whiteville Tech where she received her LPN degree, St. Joseph School of Nursing where she received her RN license. She continued her education by attending Bethel College where she received her Bachelor and Master degree and graduated with Honors. Jeanette worked as a nurse for many years until she retired when she became ill.

Minister Woods accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the tender age of ten years of age. She was baptized and became a member of Pleasant Hill MB Church in Saulsbury TN under the leadership of Pastor Simon Hunt. She later attended World Overcomers and then became a member of Christian Unity For Jesus Christ Int’l Outreach Ministry where she was ordained October 26, 2017 by Apostle Barbara Becton. She held a seat on the board of directors and ministry team since April 2018 and supported the ministry in every way she could. Jeanette loved the ministry and was able to use her gift without judgement. Jeanette was a motivational speaker and hosted many women conferences.
Minister Woods enjoyed cooking, praying, traveling, reading, shopping, family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She took many young men under her wings and spoke encouraging words and motivated them in life that they looked up to her as a mother.

Minister Woods was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Gregory C. Woods. In addition to the three children born to this union, Jeanette gained two children that she took as her own.
Minister Jenette Woods leave to cherish her memory:
