Jewell Jarrett was born on August 22, 1958 to the late Margaret Brown and Alfred Montgomery.
His funeral service was held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Calvary MB Church. Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
Jewell accepted Christ at a young age and joined Old Bethel M.B. Church. he later joined Mt. Calvary M.B. Church, both under the leadership of his uncle Pastor Algie Jarrett.
Jewell attended Bolivar Central High School. Jewell was a Mason by trade for over thirty years. He was an employee at Kilgore Flares until medically discharged. Jewell cherished his “ME” time, whether it was relaxing, watching movies, or lounging around.
Jewell was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Brown; his bonus father, Gus Brown; his father, Alfred Montgomery, Jr.; one aunt, Mattie Polk; two uncles, Robert Jarrett and Howard Wayne Jarrett; one brother-in-law, Tony Price.
Jewell leaves to cherish his memories: three children, Morrell Jarrett and Tonya Brown, both of Bolivar, TN, and Merissa Cox of Jackson, TN; three sisters, Mary (Jimmy) Campbell, Louise Price, Sherry Brown all of Bolivar, TN; three brothers, Randy (Cynthia) Jarrett of Bolivar, TN, Dennis (Angela) Jarrett of Jackson, TN, and Grant (Missy) Brown of Lebanon, TN; four uncles, Horace (Myrtle) Jarrett, Algie (Tommie) Jarrett, and Burl (Jacqueline) Jarrett, all of Bolivar, TN, and James (Carla) Jarrett of Jackson, TN; three aunts, Charlene(Nelson) Hurd, Betty Golden, and Ernestine McNeal all of Bolivar, TN and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends will miss him dearly.
