Jimmie Gatlin

March 29, 1951 ~ May 22, 2026 (age 75)

Jimme Lee Gatlin, Sr. was born on March 29, 1951 in Saulsbury, TN to the late Delilah Anderson and Lenard Gatlin.

His funeral service is scheduled for Sunday May 31, 2026 a Pleasant Hill MB Church.  Burial will be in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com will be in charge of the professional service.

Jimmie Gatlin attended Hardeman County Schools and graduated from Bolivar Industrial School.

Jimmie was employed at Nelms Chevrolet and the Nelms family business. He was also known as the taxi cab for many.

Jimmie accepted Christ as his savior and was a faithful member of Pleasant Hill Church. He was a dedicated usher and loved welcoming the Pastor to the pulpit.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by four brothers, WB Anderson, Jerry Mack Gatlin, Earnest Anderson, and Herman Anderson; his paternal grandparents, Lena and Robert Anderson.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Jimmie Gatlin, Jr.; one brother, David (Lois) Gatlin; one sister, Norma (Jewell) Cox; one aunt, Lillian Anderson; one sister-in-law, Esther Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Jimmie was loved by many and never met a stranger.
