Our Lord called Joe Louis Jones home on January 14, 2020 at 6:50 am. Joe Louis was born to the late Kary and Mary Jane Jones on October 14, 1950 in Whiteville, Tn. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday January 25, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Union Hill MB Church in Whiteville, Tn  with Pastor Nathan Gibbs in charge.  Burial was in the West Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Joe Louis professed his belief in Christ at an early age and joined Bartlett Chapel C.M.E. Church, then later joined the First Apostolic Church in East Point, Georgia. 

Joe Louis was educated at Bethlehem School and Allen White School in Whiteville, Tn. He later relocated to Jackson, Tn to get his high school diploma from Southside high School. Shortly after high school, he met and married his soulmate, Lennie Simpson. He then enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. While in the Army, he received medals fro good conduct, national defense, service, he left the Army with an honorable discharge. later, he attended vocational school and received training to become a plumber, which became his life profession. 

Joe Louis was preceded in death by  his parents, Kary and Mary jane Jones, and his son, Joe Louis, Jr.

Joe Louis is survived by his wife, Lennie Simpson Jones, his daughter, Diane (Fabian) Ellis, his son, Frederick Jones, three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, siblings: Kay C. Jones, Mary Elizabeth Davis, James Jones, Delois Jones, Juanita Jones Robertson, Pearly Jones, George Jones, Walter Jones, Robert Jones, Timothy Jones, Daniel (Gail) Jones, Merlene (Barry) Barlow, Brenda Jones, Dulvet (Leo) Allen, Janice (Tommy) Turner, Larry Taylor, Jerry Cannon, a special Aunt, Pearlie Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
