John Thomas Hill was born on July 13, 1953 to Louise Hardaway-Hill and the late Robert Hill. He departed this life on July 15, 2023.

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 22, 2023 at 11:00 am at Greater Springfield MB Church with Reverend Robert Parham in charge.  Burial was in the New Bethel Cemetery with Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiwefuneralhome.com in charge.  

John confessed a hope in Christ at New Bethel MB Church in Bolivar, TN and later joined Greater Springfield MB Church.

He attended Hardeman County Schools and graduated from Bolivar Central High School.

“Nun”, as he was affectionately called by loved ones, loved spending quality time with his family and friends. His favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting and taking special care of his lawn.

He was employed with Martha White Foods Distribution in Jackson, which is currently ADM Milling Company, for 25 years until he retired in 2016.

Mr. Hill was united in holy matrimony to Mrs. Angela Turner-Hill on Feb. 12, 2000 and their families joined as one.

John “Nun” leaves to cherish his memories; a loving wife, Angela E. Hill, 5 children; Akisha Turner, Cedric Jones, Jeffery Hill, Tan Turner and Ashley Turner, 4 grandchildren; Alexzia Turner, Natatyana Talley, Blakely Hill and Morgan Hoyle, 2 sisters; Teresa (David) Cox, Angela (Thomas) Hudson, 5 brothers; Earnest (Bo) Hill, Mitchel (Maggie) Hill, Charles (Maxine) Hill, Terry (Ann) Hill and Ricky Hill Sr., 2 brothers-in-law; Leonard Turner and Robert (Latonia) Tuner, 2 sisters-in-law; Deanna Turner and Letitia (Tony) Lake and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and a special friend, Mr. Willie Parks Sr. John was preceded in death by his brother, Larry James Hill, a nephew, Larry James Hill II, a niece, Ameanna Turner and mother-in-law, Shirley Turner.
