Keavin D’Angelo Gray, Sr. was born on February 11, 1986 and peacefully departed this life on March 31, 2025, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.
His funeral service was held on Sunday April 13, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Antioch MB church with Minister David Boyle, Jr. in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
A beloved son, brother, father, and friend; Keavin’s life was one marked by brotherhood, strength, and favor. Keavin accepted Christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church in Whiteville, TN, where he was active in the youth choir, and the communication ministry for a few years.
He was a dedicated and hardworking man, spending many years at Global Dental under the guidance of his godmother, Dr. Delores Robertson. His commitment and passion for his work remained steadfast until his passing.
He was cherished by his mother, Faith Gray Payne, and stepfather, Terrance Payne, as well as his father, Bruce Joy. With the steady love and support of his grandparents, Jimmie and Lizzie Woods, Keavin grew into a man who meant so much to so many.
He leaves behind; his beloved son, Kevin Gray, Jr., who will carry on his legacy. Keavin will be deeply missed by his siblings; Kylan Herron and Deidra Bowers of Memphis, TN; Chastity S. Joy and Coyah S. Joy of Providence, RI; Chloe S. Joy and Celiya S. Joy of Atlanta, GA; Bruce Bryston Joy of Collierville, TN, who shared in his life and memories with love and connection. He also leaves behind first cousins, Whitney and Cameron Woods, who were raised alongside him like siblings; his beloved brothers, Anthony Crowder and David Boyle, Jr.; and close young family members Josiah “Jojo” Woods and Cherish Gooden, who held a special place in his heart. His loving aunt and uncles: Karen Woods, Gary Gray, Keith Gray, and Glen Gray of Whiteville, TN, will forever honor his memory. A dear friend, Latoya Crawford will always carry Keavin in her heart, along with a host of cousins, friends, and extended family who were touched by his presence. Keavin’s journey on this earth has ended, but the love and impact he shared will live on. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit will forever be remembered in the hearts of these who knew him. Rest in peace, Keavin. You are deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
