Minister Kent Dale Joy, Sr.

Minister Kent Dale Joy, Sr. passed away Wednesday September 30, 2020.
He was born on December 1, 1965 to Minnie Joy and the late Frank Beard.
His funeral service was held on Thursday October 8, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Union Springs MB Church cemetery with Pastor Robert D. Poplar in charge. Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He was educated in the Hardeman County public school system.
Early in life he gave his life to Jesus Christ and joined Antioch MB Church. He later joined Jones Grove MB church where he was a deacon and later accepted a call into the ministry.
On August 7, 1992 he married Lesa Herron and to this union three sons were born, Kendrick, Kedrian and Kent, Jr. Joy. He was a family man and was employed with Core Civic.
He was preceded in death by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, children and mother; siblings, Lashon Joy-Conner, Jackie Miller, Phyllis (Terry) Giles, Lisa (Cedric) Crisp, Patrena Minter, Deshawn Cross and Carlton Beard; eight grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
