Mr. LC McKinnie was born on February 10, 1952, to the Late Mr. Leon and Late Lue Ella McKinnie.
He transitioned from his earthly home to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
His funeral service was held on Saturday December 28, 2024 at 12:00 noon at Greater New Hope MB Church with Minister Brandon McKinnie in charge. Burial was in Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
LC attended Hickory Valley Elementary School and was a graduate of Bolivar Industrial High School.
His employment history included Harmon Automotive in Bolivar, TN. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hickory Valley, Tennessee.
He later joined the Greater New Hope Church in Bolivar, Tennessee under the leadership of Elder James Patterson.
As a member, he served faithfully as an usher and a videographer. Everyone that came in contact with him or knew him, was always met with a “How Ya Doing?” and a warm handshake. LC was also known for being the community videographer who recorded local annual programs and services.
In 1980, LC married the love of his life by the name of Mable Miller. After uniting in Holy Matrimony, together they raised two beautiful children.
LC McKinnie lived a life exemplifying the love of Christ. He loved everyone, checked-in on everyone, and always had a kind spirit to everyone he came in contact with. LC was a fighter and never gave up while battling many health issues. The love and care that he shared with everyone will forever be remembered.
He leaves his wife of 44 years, Mable McKinnie, he leaves to cherish his memory one son: Minister Brandon McKinnie of Memphis, TN; one daughter: Lyndsey McKinnie (Xavier) Miller of Jackson, TN: two grandchildren: Brennan McKinnie and Bella Sky Miller; three godchildren: Shaylon Jones, Raven and Morgan Wellington; two brothers: Robert (Jeanette) McKinnie of Kansas City, MO; Curtis (Mary Alice) McKinnie of Memphis, TN; three sisters: Verna Harper of Bolivar, TN; Linda McKinnie of Bolivar, TN; Sandra Hicks of Memphis, TN; close friend: Mr. James Walker; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He joins in Heaven his parents: Leon and Lue Ella McKinnie; three brothers: Johnnie McKinnie; Bishop Willie T. McKinnie; Melvin McKinnie, Sr.; two close friends: George Tomlin and Norris Key.
