Mr. Larry Donell Cheairs was born on August 30, 1953 to the late Sylvester Cheairs, Sr. and Lena Mae Cheairs in Hardeman County, TN.

His funeral service was held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 12:00 noon at Dixie Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Hardeway in charge.  Burial was in the Old Mt. Salem MB Church Cemetery in Hickory Valley, Tn and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

Larry grew up in Hickory Valley, TN. He attended Hardeman County public school.

Larry accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age at New Hope MB Church. Larry was a hard worker and provided for his family.

He was employed as a well driller for Frost Well Company in Hickory Valley for many years. He was also employed for Russell Lumber Company until his health failed.

Larry married the love of his life Ethel Patterson in 1972. He loved her dearly and remained a faithful husband until her death in 2015.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter; Dortheria Cheairs: two brothers; Deon and Barry Cheairs: one sister; Jacqueline Ann Cheairs.

Larry’s memories shall be lovingly cherished by: one daughter; Dorothy Ann Cheairs: one son; Dewayne Cheairs of Memphis, TN: three brothers; Steve and Anthony Cheairs both of Bolivar, TN and Sylvester, Jr. (Joyce) Cheairs of Memphis, TN: four sisters; Lavoris, Mary (better known as May Toy), and Janice Cheairs all of Bolivar, TN and Vivian Mickens of West Virginia: four grandchildren; Eboni Robinson, Carlesha Cheairs, Sydney Waters, and Jordan Cheairs: four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
