72 Years Old
Larry Williams, 72, passed away on Sunday June 23, 2024 after a long illness. He was born on April 19, 1952 to the late Ralph Pugh and Estelle Williams.
His funeral service was held on Saturday June 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at Antioch MB Church where Minister David Boyle, Jr. was in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in chage of the professional service.
He was a member of Antioch MB Church where he served as a Trustee and Christian Education leader. He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools and later attended college where he recieved a Master's degree. He was employed as mental health counselor and was a long time member of the Hardema County School Board.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two sisters, Jeanette and Delois.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of over forty-seven years, Teresa; his children, Dunstan, Erica and Amber; sister, JoAnn; brothers, Michael, Greg, William David and Terry; many other relatives and friends that will miss him.
His principals he tried to live by:
Don't follow the crowd, follow God;
If you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all;
Be a person of your word, if you say you will do it, do it;
Be of good courage, stand up for what is right;
Be swift to hear and slow to speak, be a better listener than talker;
Be slow to anger;
Whatever your gifts, use them to add value to people's lives and glorify God;
Remember what God calls us to do-Love one another.
