Lee Roy Lake

69 Years Old
Mr. Lee Roy Lake was born on November 12, 1955, to the late Hughland Lake and Ruby (Reaves) Lake.
His funeral service was held on Sunday June 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Mt. Olive MB Church with Pastor Bernett Messenger in charge. Burial was in the Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He was preceded in death by his siblings Lee Jewel Lake, Bobby Lake, and Janice (Lake) Bolden.
Lee Roy was raised in Bolivar, Tennessee, where he graduated from Bolivar Central High School.
In 1977, he proudly joined the United States Army and served honorably until his discharge in 1980. Following his military service, Lee Roy worked at Master Slack Corporation.
He later relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where he continued his career at Alpha Omega Veterans Services and Methodist Hospital. In his later years, he returned to his hometown of Bolivar. Lee Roy had a deep love for music and laughter. Known for his warm personality, he never met a stranger. His ability to connect with others left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
His memory will be lovingly cherished by his sisters Pastor Bernett (Len) Messenger, Yvette Trejo, and Annie Harris, all of Bolivar, TN; Joyce (Roosevelt) Hancock of Memphis, TN; his brother Dr. Anthony Lake of Jackson, TN; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Lee Roy Lake’s life was a testament to kindness, joy, and resilience. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
