Lelsa Parks passed away on Monday June 7, 2025. She was born on October 18, 1965 to the late Dezzie and Gunner Parks, Sr.
Her funeral service was held on Saturday June 14, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Hopewell MB Church with Pastor Tony Ellis in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
She was educated in the Hardeman County public school system and obtained a CNA and Culinary Arts certification from Whiteville Vocational School.
She confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at a early age and joined Hopewell MB Church where her membership remained.
She worked with the Hardeman County Developmental Center for more than 19 years until health issues forced an early retirement.
She enjoyed fishing, traveling and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Michael and Gunner Parks, Jr. and two sisters, Annie B. and Myrtle B. Parks.
She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Maurice (Kevida) and Parris Parks; a daughter that she raised, Denisha Parks; two grandchildren;
seven siblings, Willie (Eleanor), Robert (Linda), Larry (Jannie), Dennis, Diane Parks, Evelyn Williams and Danice Polk; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
