Leonard Minter passed away suddenly on Sunday July 2, 2023.  He was the seventh of nine children and was born on August 26, 1960 in Somerville to the late Alsmith and Beatrice Minter. 

His funeral service was held on Saturday July 8, 2023 at 11:00 am at Antioch MB Church with Reverend Roscoe Gudger in charge.  Dixie funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.  

He accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Antioch MBC.  He was also a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge #174 in Somerville.

He was educated in the Hardeman County public schools and was a veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard.  He was a graduate of the Tennessee School of Applied Technology where he received certification for welding.  

He was employed at jackson & Keller Lumber Yard, Harmon Automotive and retired from Thyssenskrupp Elevators (Dover) on December 9, 2022.  

He loved cars, family and friends.  He was quiet and very talented.  He spent countless hours renovating automobiles and his home.  

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, James Minter and sister, Kathleen Bills.  

He leaves to cherish his memory siblings, Alve, Robert (Nancy), Dietrich (Sandra), Gerald (Carla), Donal (JoAnne) and Esther Minter; his former spouse, Patricia Ann; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
