Linda Spencer

October 1, 1950 ~ January 22, 2022 (age 71)

Linda Dunlap was born to the late Mr. Memrod Dunlap and Mrs. Emma Louise Berry Dunlap in Lagrange, TN.

Her graveside service was held on Monday January 31, 2022 at 1:00 pm at Antioch Church Cemetery with Pastor Jermaine Shaw in charge.  Dixie Funeral Home  www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.

She had seven siblings: Algerine Bridges of Goodlettsville, Tn, Sammie Dunlap (Glenda) of Portland, Tn, Cecil Dunlap (Sandra), Bonnie Ware (Jessie) of Chattanooga, Tn. Three siblings preceded her in death; James Jackson (Maple of Nashville, Tn), Berta Lofties (Emmitt of Chattanooga, Tn) and Robert Dunlap (Joyce of Chattanooga, Tn).

She was joined in holy matrimony with Mr. Randolph ‘Johnny’ Spencer, whom preceded her in death, and to this union a son was born, Lindsay Spencer of Whiteville, TN. She gained five stepchildren; Shontell Douglas Gonzalez, Yolanda Hudson, Telly Douglas (Venita), Michael Woody and Brian Woody, four biological grandchildren: Ja’Nyla Spencer, Jaelin Spencer, Ja’Kayla Spencer, Acelin Spencer, godson Reginald ‘Big Pete’ Sain.

On May 31, 2015, she was joined in holy matrimony to Mr. James 'Pistol’ Polk. She gained four stepchildren: Lawrence Sain, Tyjuana Polk McClellan (Terry), Reginald Minter, and Angela Taylor. She was an employee at CoreCivic until her death. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and co-workers that will miss her dearly.
