November 27, 1951 ~ July 4, 2020 (age 68)

On July 4, 2020 at 3:33 am , God stopped by Jackson General Hospital and carried Lonnie home. Lonnie McClellan was born November 27, 1951 in Bolivar, Tn to the late Todd and Fannie McClellan. 

His Private service was held on Saturday July 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Hillfield MB Church and burial was in the Bolivar Community Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Pirtle in charge and Dixie Funeral Home (www.dixiefuneralhome.com) was in charge of the professional service.

He attended Sugarhill Elementary, Bolivar Industrial, and Bolivar Central High School. he began employment at  Harmon Automotive then later retired from Western Mental Health Institution after 30 years of service. 

He married on July 22, 1981 the love of his life, Jacolyn McClellan. 

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age, where he joined New Bethel MB Church. Lonnie shared his love for Christ and music throughout many churches in Hardeman County and beyond. Lonnie found his way to Hillfield MB Church, where he remained faithful until his untimely departure. 

His memories will be cherished by his loving wife of 39 years, Jacolyn McClellan. His six children: Eric (Rhonda) Cheairs, Kenya Cross, Joshua (Yakina) McClellan, Celeste (Octavia) Warren. Lonita McClellan and Brooklyn Harris, two adopted daughters: Marquista Harris and Carlas Harris-Minter, 16 grand children: Antonia, Brittany, Erica, Christian, Tyler, Aniyah, Alliyah, Rashelle, Daniel, Ladell, Auden, Jailyn, Jacilyn, Jah'Zari, Yanaa, and Jordan, six great grand children: Mariyah, Aniyah, Bret, Jackson, Joneese, and Tyreese.
