83 Years Old
Lou Turner Douglas, 83, passed away on Friday March 8, 2024. He was born on May 31, 1940 to the late George Jarmon and Irene Perry.
His funeral service was held on Saturday March 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Clover Garden CME Church with Pastor Donald Stone in charge of the service. Dixie Funeral Home www.dixiefuneralhome.com was in charge of the professional service.
He attended the Hardeman County public schools and worked with several manufacturing companies until his health failed.
He confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Clover Chapel.
He loved his family, cooking and dancing. He was always the life of the party.
He was married to Rosie Lee Douglas and to this union eleven children were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Leon Dotson and Gregory White; one grandson and one grand daughter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; fourteen children, James (Pat) Douglas, Phyllis (Ronnie) Harris, Carolyn (Dewayne) Bass, Johnnie W. Douglas, Patricia Douglas, Gordon Douglas, Brad Lax, Floyd D. Douglas, Doris (Lyle) Stenson, Annie Barnette, Randall Douglas, Betty Douglas and Timothy (Chelle) Douglas; five sister, Francis IrvinErva (Robert) Jones, Melinda Perry, Shirley Jarmon; one brothe, Floyd Perry; thirty grandchildren and fifty-seven great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends that will truly miss him.
